Love is a Many Splintered Thing is a fast-paced, zippy show about— what else?— relationships, looked at through nostalgic Top-40 hit songs of the past four decades. A company of six takes the audience on a journey from high school through adulthood, tracing the paths that each friend eventually follows. Incorporating established song lyrics to tell a new story in a unique way, Love is a Many Splintered Thing features recognizable hits from everyone from Neil Diamond to Cher, Connie Francis to Elton John, Liza Minnelli to india.arie. To wit: be careful, you might get “Hooked on a Feeling” despite friends warning you “Don’t Fall in Love With a Dreamer,” until you end up with “Wedding Bell Blues.” You get the idea!!!!

Starring Dominique L’Amour, Kate Metroka, Evette Renee, Brian Slayton, Joseph Evans, and Chiara Ridpath.

Dom Thomas Presents: LOVE, A Night of Romance featuring the music of Nat King Cole

PURCHASE TICKETS HERE

Los Angeles crooner Dom Thomas, originally of St. Louis, MO, will debut his new nightclub show Dom Thomas Presents on April 11, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood. The Russian themed bar has already played host to Thomas’s musical stylings as well as to his other skills in hosting via Nacho Grandma’s Cabaret (a monthly residency throughout 2017).

Dom Thomas’s music has played to sold out crowds in Chicago, New York City, St. Louis, and in Cape Girardeau, home to his alma mater, Southeast Missouri State University. In 2016 his original music and homages to the greats of jazz and pop received critical and audience acclaim in a national club tour. His LP, Sweet Dreams, is available across music download and streaming platforms along with other single tracks. Thomas is preparing to release new singles, followed by a forthcoming EP, Here to Entertain, due out in fall of 2018.

His music can best be described as the soundtrack of a classy dudes’ newest love affair. He’s the jazz lover that knows more about the greats than you’d ever expect but brings his own contemporary sound and aesthetic to songs new and old, funneling sweet, smooth music through a lens of authenticity and personability.

Dom Thomas Presents will be one part jazz concert, one part nightclub act, with a dash of talk show honesty thrown in. Three dates are already in place for what is expected to become West Hollywood’s most welcoming night of music, each with their own theme. The first show, on April 11th, Dom Thomas Presents: Love, A Night of Romance Featuring the Music of Nat King Cole, will explore the romantic songs of Cole and other artists. Tickets will be available online until one week prior to show for a promotional rate of $5, or will be available at the door for $10 cash.
